Allows for high powered 4pin mini-Din AC adapters to be used with eg. M350 chassis and PicoPSU-120/150/160. More efficient for output current of higher than 9 amps. More suitable for applications which require high power CPUs, such as Intel i5 and i7. Screws for miniDIN socket are not included.

It's an mini-power-din socket for PicoPSU. It does what it's supposed to do. It has relatively big wires, which is a plus because of possible current that could be passing trough, so no savings on wrong place.
