The VIA VB9001 3.5” SBC combines the fanless 1.06GHz VIA Eden X1 processor with rich connectivity features including five Gigabit Ethernet ports, providing an ideal platform for network security, distributed control system (DCS) and monitoring applications.

Hardware
Based on a highly compact 3.5” SBC form factor measuring just 14.6cm x 10.2cm, the VIA VB9001 includes 1GB DDR3 SDRAM onboard and features a unique set of I/O and connectivity options ideal for high-speed M2M and IP camera applications, including two USB 2.0 ports, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 COM port, as well as onboard pin-headers for VGA and DIO (4 GPI + 4 GPO). Storage options include one SATA connector and one CFast slot.

Software
The VIA VB9001 is compatible with Windows 7, Windows CE 5.0 and QNX. A wide range of software development tools are also available, including the VIA Smart ETK.

Expandability
In addition to its onboard pin headers, wireless connectivity can be added with the optional VIA EMIO-5531 USB Wi-Fi + Bluetooth module.

Applications
With its unique set of I/O and connectivity options including five Gigabit Ethernet ports, the VIA VB9001 is ideally suited for edge gateway applications as well as for small scale multiple IP camera security monitoring scenarios.
