Der NORVI SSN wurde für eine Installationen in Umgebungen entwickelt, in denen kein Netzstrom verfügbar ist. Der eingebaute LiPo-Akku kann das Gerät und externe Sensoren bis zu 12 Stunden lang mit Strom versorgen. Es ist vorgesehen, ein 6-V-Solarpanel anzuschließen, um das Laden zu ermöglichen. Das Gerät verfügt standardmäßig über WiFi-Konnektivität und GSM / LTE, NB-IoT und LoRa können optional bestellt werden. Dies macht es zum perfekten eigenständigen Sensorknoten, der auch ein Gateway sein kann.
