This adapter you need if you would like use your 2,5" HDD on motherboard which support normal IDE disc. Adapter fit on HDD and cable normaly without any problem...

This is a fondamental adapter to connect notebook slim hard disk to ide channel of your motherboard... Beware on orientation of the pin and adapter! There isn't signs to help right the adapter :S
