What is NAND Flash based SSD?
The Flash SSD(Nand Flash-based Solid State Drive) of SAMSUNG Electronics is fully consist of semiconductor device and using NAND Flash Memory which has a high reliability and a high technology for a storage media. As the Flash SSD doesn't have a moving parts such as platter(Disk) and head media, it gives a good solution in a sub. note PC and Tablet PC for a storage device with a high performance, low power consumption and a small form factor. Also it gives rugged features in industrial PC with an extreme environment and an increased MTBF.
For an easy adoption, the Flash SSD has a same host interface with HDD and has a same physical dimension.

Nice SSD maybe I will buy it.. But first I must find or. get speed tests of this SSD... If is faster than normal HDD then is good choise... Other fast SSD(read 80-120MB/s) cost alot more...
Das Samsung gute Festplate baut ist bekannt, das sie Solid Disk Drives bauen nicht. Nun stellt Samsung die erste FlashSSD vor, welche mit 16GB nicht groß, aber dank der bekannten SSD Eigenschaften super schnell und lautlos ist. Der Preis ist zwar noch etwas hoch, aber ich denke, dass das in den nächsten Jahren noch sinken wird. Auf jedenfall steckt da drin die Zukunft und ist perfekt für den CarPC geeiegnet!
