picoPSU-120-WI-25V DC/DC PC ATX power supply (Fanless, 120 Watt)

It's unbelievable that such a small unit can deliver 120Watt, but it does. I like the 25Volt-version because it allowed me to use an old 18Volt laptop-power-supply as trafo. It can drive mobo+HD+CDRom+USB-stick without any hickup. If you have an Intel D201GLY2, you can't put it just like that. You need a cable (see review 1), or you need to cut some steel from the USB-RJ45-connector. There is space enough without the risk to cut electronics. I did the cutting and it fits really nice. I didn't put 5 starts as the first Pico I had stopt starting up the Intel mobo after some hours although it still worked on another mobo. I received a new Pico from cartft within a week. This pico is working well. I'll buy more for other PCs as well, I like it being soo small and 100% silent without becoming hot. |

P4 connector cable (4pol-5.25)

It's a pitty this cable is needed when you use a pico on a P4 mobo like the Intel D201GLY2. And the price is too high for such a small thing. Besides that it's OK, I'll bet it will never fail :-). |

Intel D201GLY2 (with integrated Celeron 1.2Ghz CPU) [FANLESS]

I was looking for a board to assemble a 100% silent PC to use as mediaplayer in the stereo. I've chosen this board because it's fanless and extremely cheap for a mini-ITX. I use it with a pico-PSU for which I had to cut a part out of the USB-RJ45-connector, but that doesn't harm the mobo. You could also use an extension cable if you don't like to mill your mobo. Together with a compact-flash and convertor to IDE it is a completely noiseless PC. You need the LEDs to see if it's running. The board is a bit slow to boot (20 seconds), but once running it's great. No problems with Xubuntu. No problems with wireless through USB. I can recommend it for 100%. |
