Intel 520 Series Postville Refresh 2.5" SATA SSD 120GB (SSDSC2CW120A310) *new* | |

I bought this ssd to mount it in my new self-assembled i7 920 system with windows 7 but I don't have all the components yet. Since the curiosity for the ssd performance was high I mounted this ssd in my Dell Inspiron 9400 17' notebook with windows XP. On purpouse I didn't made any kind of optimization like diskpar or similar beacuse I wanted to see what happened "as it was". After cloning its hard disk, at first boot and shutdown, I saw it fast but I didn't get the boost impression that I expected due to the fact that xp sp3 is very fast on its own, specially in shutdown. The very significative boost I got is when I open the office application (many files at same time), when the videogames load, and even internet navigation is faster because I use to open often the same pages with many accesses to the temp internet files. I dont think I will ever use hard disks anymore in my systems and I'm lucky because I don't need big storage dimensions. With this ssd my Dell gained a few more years of life. Today after a few days of testing I have a problem: I don't want to go back to the hard disk with the Dell so I'm thinking about buying the 160Gb model. If I decide guess where I'm gonna buy it?
