INTEL Z-U130 Value Solid State Drive Flash Drive 2GB High Profile connector 2,54 mm Pitch
The drive is connected to mainboard onboard 2x5 pin USB header. The average power consumption is 65mW (idle) and 80mW while operating. The Z-U130 is based on Intel NAND Flash Memory and its weight is 10gramms.

Auf dem USB-SSD betreibe ich eine persistente Live-USB Installation von UBUNTU. Neben WIN XP auf der Festplatte läuft also ein zweites Betriebssystem, dass geänderte Daten für den nächsten Start sichert. Der Start erfolgt zur Zeit noch über die F10 Taste während des hochfahrens.

Ich habe diese VSSD auf einem D945GSEJT verbaut. Sie verbraucht nur wenig Strom, hat sehr geringe Zugriffszeiten, und eignet sich wunderbar als Systemplatte für Linux-Server.
